Heavenly Father, I thank you for choosing me to lead your flock into the paths of righteousness, to guide them into green pastures, and to offer them the living water to drink. Make me a shepherd after your own heart; full of compassion and love for all people, and that I would nurture the spiritual growth and development of every believer. Model me into your image and likeness O Lord, so that I would think, talk, and act like you always. Give me knowledge, wisdom, and understanding to effectively address every situation. Help me to give wise counsel, inspire me to rightly divide the Word of truth, and prepare me to passionately preach sound doctrine. Help me to rebuke, correct, and instruct in love. Fill me with the Holy Spirit and power, so that I may work the works of God. To heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out devils in your name. Entrust me with the keys that will unlock the miracles of every believer that is placed within my care. Thank you Lord, for using me in one of the five-fold ministry gifts to the church. And help me to never stop reaching the lost and strengthening the saved. I praise and worship you my God; I bless you, I exalt and adore you. Help me O Lord, to fulfill this divine purpose for which I am chosen, so that when I am finished, I would hear you say, “Well done.” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen!
